| Mayfield is committed to the principle that effective learning only takes place when it is practised and evaluated within the workplace. In many organisations, the line manager works in partnership with the training manager to ensure that employees' learning and development needs are met. | However, in-house time and resources are not always available to monitor and further develop learning from courses and seminars attended. |
Mayfield mentoring provides an effective way to:
- Set and achieve personal goals and priorities for specific or general areas of performance
- Maintain motivation and ongoing learning after training
- Identify strengths and weaknesses as a basis for personal development
- Monitor and evaluate progress in relation to ongoing development
- Provide a confidential sounding board and identify fresh perspectives on specific issues.
| Mayfield is able to provide a professional mentoring service, designed to fit in with busy work schedules. A balance of face-to-face, telephone and e-mail contact can be agreed from the start, and modified if necessary to suit the needs of the individual. | All Mayfield mentors are experienced practitioners who have undertaken specialised mentoring training, and who work within the Mayfield code of conduct. |
